Celebrity Star Fashion was founded in 2004 by Bridget
Thomsen who designed apparel for female DJs amongst the local
community. It was a struggle and a gamble to get the company
off the ground by supporting only female DJs. But great ideas always
take some guts and supporters saw the untapped women's DJ's market as a
huge opportunity. Turns out they were right and took it further.
Like all things Celebrity Star Fashion was born in a studio;
initially a custom apparel line for Bridget to wear while she DJ at local
events in Hollywood. It was not long until her talent was branched
out and within several months, she established DJ clientele.
In 2005, Bridget was on a serious roll and established Celebrity
Star Fashion as an official company as well as developed a sponsorship
program to support artist like herself. The ever-popular slogan was born
"Apparel for Artist by Artist." The brand's popularity was
growing fast amongst female DJs. Two years went by and it was time
to take the company to the next level.
In 2007, Bridget was contacted by Heidi Luerra, co-founder of
Project Ethos, to showcase in their upcoming event that would take place
in February of 2008. This was a chance for Bridget to showcase a
full complete line to the public and that she did. On February 29th
of 2008, Bridget showcased and launched the first ever public line for
Celebrity Star Fashion at the world famous Avalon in Hollywood. Over
3,000 guest attended the showcase and many fell in love with the line.
With the rapid progress of the company, in March of 2008, Bridget
incorporated Celebrity Star Fashion and opened up the sponsorship division
further by sponsoring a full range of talent within the electronic music
industry. Sponsoring top names in the electronic music industry like
Jes Brieden who recently was chosen as one of the eight artist to design a
limited edition Olympic Coco-Cola bottle, Celebrity Star Fashion continues
to grow and amaze the world.
Recently taking a huge interest in giving back to a community that
help made her dreams come true, Celebrity Star Fashion will be hosting the
first annual "Dance4Life" event in Hollywood on Saturday,
November 29th of 2008. As a way to unite music and fashion further,
the night will consist of 6 fashion shows from some of LA's hottest
fashion trend setting companies as well as a live performance from Jes
Brieden. The night will follow by one of the wildest after parties
with drink specials happening all night long. A percentage of all
proceeds made this night will be donated to Dance4Life.
